Do you have a shopfront?

No. Announcements about upcoming market stalls will be made on the website. Otherwise it's only online through this website, or instagram for now. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Do you take commissions?

No. I am a very small studio and cannot offer commissions at this time. 

Is your packaging sustainable? 

Yes.  All pieces are wrapped in recycled paper and cardboard. I also repurpose packaging wherever I can, including second-hand bubblewrap, which can be reused or recycled in your soft-plastics. This would otherwise go into landfill.

Is your shipping Carbon Neutral?

Yes!

Do you offer international postage?

Not at this time. Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, and the fact that my studio is small and pieces are for the most part one-offs, I cannot offer international freight.

Are your products microwave and dishwasher safe?

Yes. However, be careful not to let them bump against other pieces in the dishwasher. If washing by hand, remember not to let the water get to scalding. This can cause thermal shock and crack ware, or make pieces more sensitive to bumps with other items under water. 

I've noticed tiny hairline cracks in my glaze. What are they?

This is not a crack. This is called crazing and is completely normal, in fact it is often made a feature of in crackle glazes. These will not affect the functionality or the hygiene of your pieces and they remain perfectly safe to use. 

Are your items watertight?

All vases, cups, bowls, and plates are fired to stoneware temperatures and therefore are fully vitrified meaning they are watertight.  

Do you offer returns if items arrive broken?

Check your item on arrival. While all care is taken in packaging to avoid breakages, this will happen from time to time. Please provide photographic evidence of the breakage and packaging (intact as possible) within 24 hours of receipt to remnantspottery@gmail.com to discuss the possibility of a refund.

Similarly, I check all items before they are shipped. However, If you feel I have missed something and that your item has arrived with a defect, please contact me within 24 hours of receipt to discuss your options. 

Do you offer exchanges?

No. Most items are one-offs and cannot be exchanged.
